    Description

    On offer is a vintage large, pewter, lidded stein with a matching chalice. No makers mark but this has been in the family for 50 years, so actual age is unknown. The tankard has a tapering cylindrical body, a swan neck handle and is on a large flared foot, reminding me of several I have seen from England that are used in old Anglican churches. Hinge on the top is solid with no gaps or movement. The tankard is 15 ½ inches tall, 7 ¼ inches at the base and weighs 3 pounds 8.6 ounces. The chalice is 7 inches tall, 3 1/8 inches at the base, and weighs 10.5 ounces. It hasn’t been cleaned so there are a small number of spots of light oxidation. After the cleaning, it will be ready for you the pour in and enjoy the next couple pints of your favorite brew!
