Included in this set are 4 mugs and 4 plates, as shown in photo.  Box was opened only for photos; items have never been used.  This set appears to be ceramic as each piece is pretty sturdy/heavy.  Shipping reflects an item of heavier weight and it will also be wrapped and cushioned inside another box for safety.  Great set for any Disney fan!
