    .  Cap badge superbly finished in dead gilt on solid gilding metal/brass with bright, burnished highlights making for an especially attractive appearance, typical of Senior Officer insignia of the period.  Cap badge measures 47 mm (1 13/16 inches) high X 38 mm (1 1/2 inches) wide.  Original double fold-over blade retaining tangs present on reverse. Superb condition.
